Onyx
Working with onyx.
- 01
Light passes through
Onyx is translucent: lit from behind, the bands glow. It is a favourite for bars, reception desks, feature walls and statement baths.
- 02
Handle with care
Onyx is as soft as marble and more brittle. It suits pieces that are looked at more than walked on, and it needs gentle cleaning.
- 03
Choose the block
Colour and banding change a great deal from block to block. We send photographs of the actual block or slabs, lit from behind if you plan to backlight it.
