1. Samples
A small sample shows colour and finish, not the range of a whole block. One to three material samples, about 15 × 15 cm (6 × 6 in), are free for standard marbles; luxury stones and jade are charged, and finished-piece samples are made to order. We confirm the courier cost for your address. For a project, ask for photographs of the actual slabs or blocks, and approve the stone before anything is cut.
2. Drawings before cutting
Send a photo, a sketch or CAD drawings. We draw the piece in stone, you mark the drawing up, and cutting starts only from the version you approve. A clear drawing is what makes the quote comparable line by line.
3. Lead time
Production usually takes about 20 days after the drawings and stone are approved, before sea freight, and a little over a week for simple pieces. Large carvings, fountains and full-house packages take longer; the quote states the time for your order.
4. Inspection photos before packing
Our quality team checks every finished piece to our standard, and against your approved drawing for made-to-order work, whether it was made in our own factories or a partner's. Then we send you photographs: dimensions, openings, edges, finish and any laid-out areas. Nothing is packed until you approve.
5. Payment
Payment is by bank transfer (T/T), and the balance is always due after you approve the inspection photos, before the stone ships. For a single piece or a small order, usually 50% to start and 50% before shipping. For larger orders, usually a 30% deposit and the 70% balance before shipping. Large projects can be paid by letter of credit at sight, or in stages agreed for the programme. Your quote states the terms for your order.
6. Freight terms
We quote FOB, CNF or DDP. With DDP we take the shipment to your door, duties included. Ask every supplier the same question: who is responsible if a piece arrives damaged, and in which case.
7. Part loads, full and mixed containers
Small orders are welcome. Baths, vanities and basins ship well as single pieces in a shared container, and every part load we ship DDP is insured: check the crates on arrival and note any damage when you sign. If your own forwarder ships a part load, claims go through them. Heavy stone priced by the square metre, such as walling or paving, is best shipped by the full container. One project's products can share a container: baths, vanities, walling and flooring packed together. We load every full container ourselves; if pieces in a full container arrive damaged, we replace or refund them in full.
