Calacatta Viola, the one piece in the room.
Calacatta Viola is a stone that leads: ivory fragments held in burgundy veins. Give it one strong piece, a dining table, a bar front or a fireplace, and keep everything around it warm and plain.

One strong piece, a quiet room.
The table is the pattern. Plain walls, a timber floor and dark wood chairs give the burgundy room to read.

Table top and pedestal
Calacatta Viola marble
A thick top with the pedestal cut from the same slab. We choose the area of the slab with the pattern you like and show it on the photograph before cutting.

Floor, if you want stone underfoot
Italian Ivory travertine
A pale, quiet travertine that stays out of the way; or keep the floor in smoked oak.
Timber, metal and colour.
Warm, deep finishes pick up the burgundy; pale ones let the ivory read.
Smoked oak
For the floor; deep enough to ground the table.
Dark walnut
For the chairs and sideboard.
Aged brass
For the pendant and small details; warmer than polished gold.
Warm white limewash
For the walls, so the stone is the only pattern.
Avoid a second patterned stone in the room, and avoid cool greys: both fight the burgundy.
The stone itself, before anything is cut.

The balance of ivory and burgundy changes across each slab. These are real slabs. For a table we show you where the top would come from on the slab photograph before we cut.
