Freeform
Irregular pieces fitted by the mason. A pale blend gives a quiet backdrop; a wider range of tones gives a livelier wall.
Agree the size mix, joint width and face relief.
Stone walling
Loose natural stone for cladding walls, in sandstone, limestone, slate and quartzite, laid freeform, in courses or as flagstone, and shipped from our own factory in Yixian. Before the stone is crated, we send you photographs of the batch to approve.
01 / Formats
The same stone reads differently in each pattern. The size mix, the joints and the depth of the face make the difference.

Irregular pieces fitted by the mason. A pale blend gives a quiet backdrop; a wider range of tones gives a livelier wall.
Agree the size mix, joint width and face relief.

Client wall · coursed
Rectangular pieces in running courses. More ordered, still clearly natural stone: good for entrances, plinths and long feature walls. The same blend can carry on to a fireplace inside.
Agree course heights, length variation and corners.

Close up · flagstone
Large, flat pieces with trimmed edges, fitted with narrow joints. Fewer, bigger stones give a calmer, more solid wall.
Agree the largest piece size and the joint width.
02 / Stone
Or send a photograph of the wall you have in mind and we suggest a match.

CTS-S1
Pale cream sandstone with a split face, cut to rectangular pieces for coursed walls.

CTS-S4
Dark limestone in irregular pieces, for strong contrast against render, timber or pale paving.

CTS-S5
Grey limestone, also sold as Yixian Blue, with warmer rust-brown pieces through the blend.
03 / Before you order
One small sample cannot show the range of a natural stone. Ask for photographs of a full crate, with the lightest and darkest pieces in view.
Face depth, joint width and mortar colour change the wall as much as the stone does. Settle them on a test panel before the main order.
Tell us how the wall is built. Loose pieces and panels differ in thickness, weight and fixing.
List external corners, returns, reveals and caps separately from the flat area, so the quantities come out right.
04 / Ordering
Terms most US and Australian projects work to. Each quote confirms them for your order.
Flat wall area is quoted per square metre, or per square foot if you prefer. Corners are quoted per linear metre.
Thin pieces with sawn backs, about 20 to 40 mm, for stone adhered to the wall. Thicker split pieces for full-bed masonry. Tell us the wall system and we cut to suit.
L-shaped corner pieces cut from the same blend, so the stone appears to wrap around the wall.
Small samples are free; you cover the courier. For a project, we can lay a test panel of about one square metre and send you photographs before the main order.
Usually about 20 days after you approve the sample or test panel, depending on quantity.
Walling is heavy for its value, so on a small order the freight can cost more than the stone. It is best shipped by the full container, on its own or packed with the rest of the stone for your project. A trial order can still go in a shared container.

05 / Packing
Walling ships direct from our own factory in Yixian. We photograph the batch for you before packing; once you approve it, the stone is crated, with corners and special pieces marked on the packing list.
We quote FOB, CNF or DDP. We load every full container ourselves and replace or refund anything in it that arrives damaged; part loads we ship DDP are insured.
Shipping and packing06 / Questions
Individual pieces of natural stone for cladding a wall, set by the mason. Not gravel. In the US this is usually called natural stone veneer; in Australia, stone walling or random walling.
Yes. A facade or courtyard wall can carry through to a feature wall or a fireplace surround inside. Thickness and fixing are confirmed separately for each location.
No. It depends on the stone, the climate, the exposure and the wall system. Tell us where the project is and any test criteria in your specification.
US building codes generally limit adhered veneer to 15 lb per square foot. Our thin sawn-back pieces are cut for adhered installation, and we state the weight per square foot with the quote, for your installer to check against local code.
